Academic Advising Services

OVERVIEW: Academic Advisors and Academic Success Counselors are highly skilled in the systems and technology in place to help students succeed. Academic Advisors and Academic Success Counselors assist students with scheduling courses each term and navigating academic policies and procedures. They also serve as mentors, providing students with practical advice and guidance on how best to achieve their academic, personal, and career goals.

Center for Academic Success (CAS)

OVERVIEW: If you feel like you’re struggling with a class or subject, or maybe you just need a little one-on-one assistance with a class or an assignment, our Center for Academic Success can help by providing tutoring services in a wide range of subjects. The Center for Academic Success reinforces classroom instruction and enriches your learning experience.

The Traurig Library

OVERVIEW: The Post University Library is home to a wealth of resources, including over 13,000 print books and 1,262 media, 45 online databases, a growing e-book and virtual reference collection, a cataloged government documents repository, and specialized collections of legal reference sources and a unique equine management print and media collection. Post University also has reciprocal borrowing agreements through the Connecticut Council of Academic Library Directors, as well as area academic libraries.

Fun fact: Post has a Partnership with the State Virtual Library!

Center for Career & Professional Development

OVERVIEW: The Center for Career and Professional Development helps with career portfolio building, resume writing, interview skill development, grooming, networking skills, and effective job search training. This is accomplished through one-on-one meetings, group sessions, and in-class workshops and presentations, and is facilitated through the use of handouts, audio and/or visual teaching aids, and online tools.
